About us

What is EarlyApply?

I was wrapping up my masters program and I got bored so I decided to create a job board for busy people — people who can't afford to spend hours and scour the internet looking to find jobs.

If you're interested in learning about EarlyApply updates, check out my Twitter account.

Why EarlyApply?

If you are a strong candidate but never hear back, it might be because you did not apply early enough.

Employers typically review only about 50% of applications that pass the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), while the rest are discarded (Source). Research shows that candidates who apply within the first 72 hours of a job posting are significantly more likely to land an interview. Early applications are prioritized in ATS queues, increasing visibility with hiring managers.

EarlyApply helps you apply early.

FAQs

I selected a location filter but I sometimes find jobs which are not based out of that location.

The reason is probably because the job description contains the names of the cities of the filter you selected. For example: Maybe the job description mentions that the base pay for San Francisco is $X/year. The location filter is not very smart as of now.

I have a feature request. How can I reach out?

Reach out to me on twitter.

Hey, is the project open source? Can I contribute?

Thank you for the interest. It's currently not open source.

Can you add non-tech roles?

I am not an expert at roles outside my expertise, so I wouldn't know what's the best user experience or keywords for those roles. However, I have added a toggle to search across job descriptions, so if you know what keywords you're looking for, you can search for those.

Can you add other locations like Europe, Asia, and others?

Again, I don't know much about these areas, but you can use the "Search across job description" toggle.

There are only few companies on the job board. Why not more?

I am working on adding new companies. If you have a hot favourite, DM me on Twitter.

Why are jobs deleted after 72 hours? Isn't that harsh?

It is, but it keeps my server and database costs down, keeps the website fast without much $ and also incentivises users to visit frequently and apply early.
